The story: Carmichaels is a tiny town in the Pennsylvania coal country south of Pittsburgh. The speaker left Carmichaels right after high school and never looked back, eventually becoming a marketing mover-and-shaker in the high-tech industry. Most Carmichaels graduates don't have that kind of vision when they leave school. But the Class of 2001 did.
